GEZE provides sponsorships for children in need throughout the world
To mark its 150th anniversary, GEZE sponsored 150 needy children from all around the world – and will now sponsor another child every year. In cooperation with the children’s charity Plan International, the company wants to help to improve the living conditions of children, young people and their families.
Plan International helps in 50 countries around the world
Plan Germany manages more than 300,000 child sponsorships.
Plan International is one of the oldest children’s charities. It operates in 50 countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America and is independent of any religious or political affiliation.
In the development cooperation field, Plan International funds sustainable and child-focused self-help projects primarily via sponsorships and also via individual donations and public funds.
Girls receive special support to give them the same opportunities as boys. Plan Germany manages more than 300,000 child sponsorships which reach about three million people in the programme areas.
Girls need special support
To achieve lasting improvements in the living conditions of the children, young people and their families and local communities, Plan concentrates on the areas of education, health, child protection, participation, the provision of microfinance, and disaster relief.
